Isn't it? - By Sharon Markham.

that girl in the hallway, the one who is wearing the ugly outfit.- thats funny,

isn't it?
the chick who has no friends in the hallway getting made fun of.-thats funny, too

isn't it?
the boy in the hallway whose best friend got shot last night but nobody cares- thats halarious... isn't it?

the man sitting on the road who has no home, whose one true love got up and left- isn't that halarious?

isn't it super funny when the girl we made fun of earlier for dressing weird, and having no friends goes home... and gets abused.... isn't that super funny?

isn't it funny the next day when we assume she got in a fight, and we laugh at her for losing?

and then isn't it funny when the next day we find out that she commit suicide that night...? she couldn't take your words any longer... and took the gun to her temple?

isn't it funny, how at her funeral... the people in the chapel are crying, forever wounded, hurt, emotionally stabbed? isn't that halarious?

that isn't funny is it?....

so how come it is, that everytime we meet someone like this.... we laugh? we mock them... critisize them... hurt them..... betray them.... or just ignore them....

how come, when someone who needs our help, who sits alone, nobody has the heart to sit down, and say a simple 'hey, how are you?' instead, we make them feel even worse....

we don't realize, how half of the suicide attempts could have been stopped... if someone had simply said "hey, are you doing okay?" they could have been stopped... but... they weren't....

it is emotionally draining, how everyday... someone in the world is overdosing, shooting, stabbing, cutting, jumping, or hanging themself....... just because nobody could take the time to look them in the eyes and say "i care about you."

i know... first hand, how it feels. i too have looked suicide in the eyes. my friends, and even I, have at one time wanted to end this pain we call life.
